Copyright and DMCA

Effective date: September 6, 2026

Tattoo Vibes respects the rights of tattoo artists, photographers and the people who wear the work. This page explains how we handle copyright, and how to ask for an image to be corrected or removed.

Our position on images

  • We do not create the tattoos or take the photographs featured in our guides.
  • We do not claim ownership of any tattoo artwork or photograph shown on this site.
  • Every image is published with a visible artist credit directly underneath it, linking to that artist.
  • Images are used editorially, to discuss and illustrate tattoo design, placement and style, and to direct readers to the artists who made the work.
  • We never sell, license or offer the featured artwork as designs of our own.

Asking for a correction or removal

If you are the artist, the photographer, or the person tattooed, and you want an image removed, a credit corrected, or a different handle used, we will action it promptly and without argument. You do not need to send a formal legal notice. Asking is enough.

Email hello@tattvibes.com or use the contact page, and include the article the image appears on and which image it is. We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to remove or correct within five.

Formal DMCA notice

If you prefer to submit a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, send it to the address above including the following.

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The exact URL of the page, and enough detail to identify the specific image on it.
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

Counter notice

If material you posted was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter notice to the same address, including your contact details, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed in error.

Repeat infringement

We remove content promptly when a valid concern is raised, and we will not republish material that a rights holder has asked us to take down.

Our own content

The written commentary, page layout, design and branding of this site are ours. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the original page. Please do not republish whole articles.
